I, Scientist
Two "StRATEGy" PhD-students will participate in the "I, Scientist" in Berlin.
The focus of the "I, Scientist" conference is based on the following missions:
Gender. Few people are aware that even excellently educated women have to deal with gender-based obstacles and prejudices. It is our goal to make more people aware of these problems and to present and discuss possible solutions. Moreover we want to increase the visiblity of female role models.
Career Paths. Understanding the range of career possibilities is the best way to make the right career choice and get sent down a fullfiling career path. This is why we want to inform young scientists to a variety of options in science, industry, and alternative fields.
Networking. During the conference you will have many opportunities to exchange your experience with others and come into contact with the speakers. In order to provide protected spaces where the female participants can network among themselves, we offer the conference dinner and certain discussion sessions for women only.
