Bio:

Oliver Korup studies the geomorphic footprints of natural hazards and disasters. He is currently quantifying how quickly mountain rivers recover from earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in the Nepal Himalaya, Chilean Patagonia, and Japan. He uses data from terrestrial laser scanning, UAV monitoring, dendrogeomorphology and radiocarbon dating to learn more about the delayed response and recovery of river channels and hillslopes to landscape-scale disturbances.
